Tippecanoe County United Food Pantry – Tippy Food Pantry – has been serving the community since 1972: it was founded by the Church Women United (CWU) of Lafayette. This group of women successfully organized to gather food for the pantry and then distribute it to those in need. In 2017, the pantry established a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) to operate more effectively as a non-profit organization. Over the more than fifty years of our operation, the pantry has been housed in many different locations as we have changed and grown.
In 2017, through the generosity of Tom Arth, we moved to our present location on Tippecanoe Street and became building owners. We are so grateful to Mr. Arth that our pantry now has a permanent home. The CWU continues to support the pantry’s efforts and has been joined by many other community partners. Our focus continues to be on providing a nutritious selection of food to those who are experiencing food insecurity in our community.
We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Tippy Food Pantry is operated entirely by volunteers, including the Co-Directors and pantry workers.

Tuesday 3:30 to 6 PM
Wednesday 12 to 2:30 PM

Clients
Tippy Food Pantry services clients who live in Tippecanoe County.
At each visit, clients will be asked to provide a government ID or mail with their current addresses. They must also meet government guidelines to qualify for pantry and TEFAP food.
